Jim was a writer and the editor-in-chief for Marvel Comics from 1978 through 1992 and was responsible for hiring Todd McFarlane among other great writers and artists.

Jim's writing work includes The Avengers, Fantasticon Four, X-Men, and Spider-man, just to name a few.
